Wandsworth Gasworks

BD have been working on the large-scale urban regeneration of the Wandsworth Gasworks for the last 18 months with an award-winning design team including SHEDkm, Max Architects, Carmody Groarke and engineers Whitby Wood.

SGN Place has agreed a joint venture with Mitheridge Capital Management for a major residential-led mixed-use scheme at the former gasworks in Wandsworth. The pair aim to develop around 700 homes across two parcels of land spanning 3.5 acres between the River Wandle and Swandon Way.

The site presents an amazing opportunity to introduce new public realm access into this historically closed off site with ‘Wandle Trail’ forming a stratetic link along the River Wandle, new bridge links and riverside parkland landscape.

The scheme is progressing through a co-design process prior to planning submission in 2022 including engagement sessions with local primary schools and the wider community.
